Chad Summy, DPM, FACFAS
Chad A. Surnmy, D.P.M., was born and raised in Earlham, Iowa. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2000.

He completed three years of hospital-based residency training, which included two years of surgical training and a one-year internship at Cook County Hospital with an emphasis on diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Summy performs advanced surgical procedures of the foot and ankle, including rear foot and ankle reconstruction, ankle ligament repair, and ankle arthroscopy He has a special interest in sports medicine and in treating athletic foot and ankle injuries.

Dr. Summy is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

He is licensed to practice in the state of Nebraska.

 

 

Michael Powers, DPM, FACFAS
Michael R. Powers, D.P.M, grew up in Papillion, Nebraska. He received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago in 1997. He then completed three years of hospital-based residency training that included surgical and orthopedic emphasis.

Dr. Powers specializes in advanced surgical procedures of the foot and ankle, including rear foot and ankle reconstruction, ankle ligament repair, ankle arthroscopy, and sports-related injuries. He also has advanced training in
pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Powers is licensed to practice in Nebraska and Iowa and is board certified in rear foot and ankle reconstruction by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association.

 

 

Michelle L. Hinze, DPM, AACFAS
A Nebraska native, Dr. Hinze grew up in North Platte . She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia , Pa. She then completed three years of post graduate hospital-based residency training in surgery at Crozer-Keystone Health System, Delaware County, Pa. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

While a student at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Hinze served as an alternate delegate to the American Podiatric Medical Student Association from 1999 to 2002. She has completed numerous post graduate courses through the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Hinze has practiced in the Bellevue area for the last year. She has a special interest in surgery and performs advanced surgical procedures of the foot and ankle. She will see patients at both the Bellevue and Omaha Foot & Ankle Specialists clinic locations.

 

 

Donald Buddecke, DPM, FACFAS
A Nebraska native, Dr. Buddecke grew up in Kimball. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center , in Des Moines , Iowa , in 1998. He completed two years of a post graduate hospital-based surgical residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines , Iowa , where he was chief resident of podiatric surgery. He also completed two years of fellowship training in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction. His post-graduate training included overseas training in advanced deformity correction with pediatric orthopedic surgeons at the Orthopaedic Hospital - Speising in Vienna , Austria . Prior to coming to Omaha in 2006, Dr. Buddecke practiced in Ottumwa , Iowa , for four years. Dr. Buddecke is board certified in foot surgery and one of only a few doctors in Nebraska who is board certified in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He is a member of both the Nebraska and Iowa Podiatric Medical Society, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Buddecke routinely gives scientific lectures on foot and ankle surgery at medical conferences around the country. He has published numerous articles and chapters in textbooks and serves as an editorial consultant to the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He has been a clinical instructor in the podiatric medicine and surgery department at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center since 1999 and served on the faculty of Broadlawns Medical Center from 2001 to 2006.

He is proud of his Nebraska heritage and the values he learned growing up in rural Nebraska . He takes a special interest in all of his patients. He said his goal with every patient is to alleviate the problem as quickly as possible using the most conservative measures. He enjoys getting to know his patients on a personal level.
